Training in the Precision Metals prepares students for entry level into the metal working industry. Instruction is offered on basic machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders, as well as CNC (computer numerically controlled) trainers. Related training includes blueprint reading, mathematics, precision inspection, layout, welding (gas, arc, tig, and mig), and plasma and flame cutting. Students may choose either a welding certificate, a machinist diploma, or both for the Precision Metals diploma.
