AutoCAD I- (Instructor-Dan Rodenbaugh)
The purpose of this course is to help drafters and drafting students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become computer aided drafting technicians. To this end, the course will provide students with: 1) an introduction to computers; 2) an overview of the computers in drafting; 3) an overview of CAD systems; 4) an overview of CAD system operational procedures; 5) coverage of modern CAD terminology; 6) hands on skills development activities using AutoCAD software.

AutoCAD 3D Modeling I- (Instructor-Dan Rodenbaugh)
The purpose of this course is to help students develop the basic knowledge and principles associated with 3D design and modeling. To this end, the course will cover 1)Intro to 3D, 2) Cartesian Coordinate System, 3) 3D Entity creation, 4) 3D Object creation, 5) 3D Surface creation, 6) 3D Editing, 7) UCS (User Coordinate System), 8) USCISON, 9) 3D Display Modes, 10) MVIEW Command & 11) Model Space and Paper Space.

Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair- (Instructor-Ronnie Bush)
The MLR (Maintenance and Light Repair) program is designed for entry-level automotive technicians. Modules of instruction will include automotive electronics, brakes, steering/suspension, wheel alignment & climate control systems. The program is Ford based but is essentially the same program required by all manufacturers’ dealerships for entry level technicians.

BASIC WORD PROCESSING/EXCEL SPREADSHEETS: (Instructor: Cassandra Anderson)
WORD: This course covers basic microcomputer and word processing applications; maintaining disks, using the mouse, creating, printing, and editing Word documents, and formatting characters. (5 weeks) EXCEL: An introduction to the use of spreadsheets in the microcomputer environment. The student will be familiarized with the basic concepts of an Excel spreadsheets, creating and formatting tables and using calculations. (5 weeks)

COMPUTER CONCEPTS: (Instructor-Heath Stewart-Jackson-Deana Peoples-Lexington)
This course provides the essential concepts and skills regarding your computer. Fundamental skills and terminology are introduced for students to become familiar with the Windows environment and operating systems. This course introduces students to the World Wide Web, file management, browsers, and email basics. Students will participate in real-world tasks to develop their skills in obtaining, processing, storing, and presenting information.

ELECTRICAL CONTROL TROUBLESHOOTING: (Instructor: Bob Pepper)
This program will use electro mechanical motor control circuits to develop electrical troubleshooting skills. Prior knowledge of ladder diagrams is helpful but not necessary.

ELECTRONICS TROUBLESHOOTING : (Instructor: Randall Green)
This course will consist of the following: DC and AC circuits, circuit theory, schematic reading, component identification, test equipment operation, identifying problems in circuits, soldering and safety.

INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER MAINTENANCE: (Instructor-John Byrum)
This class will help an individual to Tune up and keep their Windows PC running at its peak performance. The class is designed for someone who wants to learn more about their PC and find out how to fix some of the most common problems related to hardware and software with Microsoft Windows (XP & Vista). This course also addresses various Windows troubleshooting issues, discusses how to speed up your PC, examines some windows advance tools and gadgets, how to keep your PC virus, malware and spyware free, and it also explores many windows tips, tweaks, and tricks.

This course will include an introduction to the basic principals of operation, PLC hardware, Developing Basic PLC ladder logics programs and PLC programming. Lexington campus only.

INTRODUCTION TO YOGA: (Instructor-Wendy Hopper)
In this introductory class, participants will explore Yoga as a way to pursue health and harmony in their life by facilitating the flow of energy in the body, and relaxing the body and mind. Students will have the opportunity to stretch muscles and release tension through the practice of basic beginner yoga poses with props and breath awareness. The pace is gentle and the approach is relaxed. Lexington campus only.

This class is designed for the beginning and advanced student who wishes to learn basic machining skills. Areas of study include blueprint reading, shop math, precision measurement tools, lathe, mill and grinding operations. Lexington Campus only.
MEDICAL BILLING & CODING SPECIALIST I: (Instructor-Jo Barlow)
This course is designed to prepare students for an entry-level position as a medical billing and coding specialist. Upon successful completion of Medical Billing & Coding Specialist I & II (200 Hours), students will be prepared to sit for the CMBS certification exam.

QUICKBOOKS: (Instructor-Susan Mullins)
Own your own business? New job requires you to use QuickBooks? Is your church looking for a good way to keep up with members and finances? Let us help you learn how to set up and perform essential tasks. In this course, we’ll explore the QuickBooks environment and set up a company, work with lists, set up inventory, invoice for products/services and process payments. We will also work with bank accounts and enter and pay bills.

Heard the word about the new Word? Word 2007 has been completely redone with a new graphical interface that enhances the user’s experience. In this 13 week class you will learn the best ways to use the new Ribbon, get a handle on finding popular commands, and understand what the new file format does for you. You will work hands on with a trainer that can guide you through your Word goals. Lexington campus only.
