Admissions

Persons 18 years or older with an employment objective may apply for admission.

Applicants may apply for all programs, except health occupation classes, online or in person.

Applicants will be notified by mail prior to the first available class opening.  Students begin programs at the beginning of each quarter for classes that have immediate openings.  If there are no openings, applicant’s names will be placed on a waiting list for their desired program.

The Technology Center offers three different health occupation programs.  Potential applicants who are less than 18 years of age should consult with the allied health program director, Barbara Avent, prior to making application. The Practical Nursing program begins on the Jackson campus in the Spring and begins in Humboldt in the Fall. The Lexington campus begins only in the Spring.  To be eligible for the Fall class, testing must be completed by the end of June. To qualify for the Spring class, testing must be completed by the end of December. The Surgical Technology class and the Pharmacy Technology class begins in the Fall.  Applicants interested in applying for any of our health occupation programs will be required to take the nurse entrance test.  Click here for more information on the NET Testing dates.
